About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission as I've chosen it, is to travel the world in search of adventure in a style inspired my all time hero, Lara Croft. (Maybe minus the guns, though I'd sure as hell like to wear the holsters!) Current journey being tackled is Europe and the UK.

ABOUT ME

I am in constant search of adventure! I believe that every situation in life has something to be discovered. Positivity is the only way to deal with the challenges that are thrown our way, and therefore I take great joy in surrounding myself with uplifting, vivacious people.
Loyalty is important to me; if you say you are going to do something, do it. I never do things by halves- I am all or nothin' baby.
Meeting new people, extending my knowledge, and pushing the boundaries are some of my favourite past times.Living is different to being alive, and I intend to live with every fibre of my being until my dying day.

PHILOSOPHY

I think I kinda touched on this in the "All About Me" section, but here goes.
You only get one conscious life, and I intend to make the most of it!
I never want to be in a position where I look back and have regrets. I'm essentially a "Yes, and" person.
I believe that one person CAN make a difference.
I know the difference that a warm touch or an open smile can make to someone's day, and I want to contribute to the world and the people (if not just one person) who live in it with me.
True love DOES exist, and it doesn't tie you down or hold you back. It frees you.
If everyone learned to live a little more simply, this world would be a LOT less complicated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I'm new to CS, but have already stayed on one couch and had a fabulous experience. The more people I meet, the more I want to be home setting up my own comfy couch for them!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My most recent couch surfing experience was not through this site, of which I am new, but at my sister's house. I wanted to get into the spirit of things with my impending trip, so I crashed on her couch (which was REALLY comfy btw) and used my brand new sleeping bag and liner(!) for the very first time. It was a good sleep, and a good bag (fortunately)!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm never good at filling these out because I have such vast and varied interests that I like just about anything! Some particularly memorable books are as follows...
The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
Wild Lavender - Belinda Alexandria
The Bronze Horseman Trilogy - Paullina Simons
Harry Potter I-VII - JK Rowling
Nancy Drew!!!

Music is part of my very being- I love so many different kinds and I am always open to being introduced to new genres and artists!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Inca Trail.
When I was 10 I did a school project on Machu Picchu, and I was so mesmerised by the mystery and the beauty that I swore to myself that one day I would see it with my eyes in it's true state, and not through a glossy photo in a book.
Last year (2010) that dream came true. I trekked the 4 day Inca Trail and arrived at Machu Picchu very early on the 4th day. I had the great fortune of arriving when the whole mountain was in a mystical state- COVERED in mist! As I stood and looked at the ruins below me, the mist cleared to reveal a truly breathtaking sight. The day continued to clear and became sunny and i was able to view Machu Picchu from two incredibly beautiful aspects. What a treat! One thing off the bucket list!

Words of Wisdom....

1. If there is a pea under your mattress/couch, you probably won't feel it. Even if you are a princess.
2. Be open minded.
3. Maintain respect for the person you are staying with, and keep the communication channels open.
