Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS during the summer of 2011. Since that time, I have had an unusual and fun experience as a surfer on a farm in Montana. I have hosted a few people, and shown travelers around my wonderful hometown of Missoula! I love sharing my slice of heaven with anyone passing through. I also organize monthly CS get together's for hosts and travelers when I am home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but great experiences with couch surfing. I have met a so many people from all over the world and so far I haven't met one person that I don't like. It has been a wonderful way for me to meet people while staying in London where I am currently working for the summer months.

Interests

Anything outdoors, traveling, scuba diving, floating the river, reading, having fun, learning, concerts, and the list keeps going... and going... and going...

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- I love to read, but unfortunately I have been slacking in that department lately! I am currently trying to peck my way through Don Quixote... My favorite book from childhood would probably be The BFG by Roald Dahl and anything Shel Silverstein. I have also just recently discovered Silverstein's adult works, and fallen equally in love!

Music- Enjoy all kinds! As a child my parents listened to things like Marty Robins, The Four Tops, Louis Armstrong, Elvis, Nat King Cole and singers from that era... Listening to that type of music always brings back fond memories. I am from the Southern United states, so old country music does hold its own place in my heart! Nothing like Southern pride ;-). I also enjoy blue grass, funk, soul, rock, hip-hop, rap ect... I am pretty sure you could find something in every genera I can enjoy!

Movies- There are lots of movies I haven't seen! Most people are surprised to learn I haven't seen Greece? But if its a Disney movie, I'v probably seen it. Love the new pixar films! Especially Ratatouille. But, one of my all time favorite movies is Fried Green Tomatoes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm.... three moments that have left me awestruck:
1- When I was a kid I saw a shooting star explode into tiny, sparkling bits. It looked like a silent firework exploding above my yard.
2- Watched a tropical storm's 20 foot waves tear down the wooden pier I used to fish from, sink my families boat, and watched my neighbors swimming in those very same waves... all while enjoying breakfast from my front porch. What can ya do?
3- Glacier National Park!!
