About Me

CURRENT MISSION

All I wanna do is zoom a zoom zoom zoom in your boom boom.

ABOUT ME

I'm 26 years old, really friendly and outgoing, and always down to try anything once. I'm not really afraid of anything (except spiders) and I'm a compassionate, patient, and fast-learning individual. I follow a Buddhist lifestyle, meaning that I live simply and try to ride a constant wave of good energy, giving of myself whenever and however I can. I'm not a narcisist, I'm openminded, and I love meeting new people and new situations. There is nothing more personally and spiritually rewarding to me than testing my limits and either conquering the challenge or learning from the failure. I don't believe in regrets--only lessons. I like to be constantly learning, and teaching when I can. I like my beer cold, my food extra-spicy, my music loud, and my friends true.

I've just returned from nine months of backpacking across Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia with my boyfriend, Scott. It's been an interesting transition back into normal life! It's very difficult to give up the nomadic life of backpacking for the staid routines of "the real world" but I'm biding my time, waiting till I can take off on my next big adventure...

PHILOSOPHY

My life is a work-in-progress, but at least it's a labor of love. I'm going to try to put a little bit of positivity into the world every day of my life. Wish me luck.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just getting my feet wet in this whole CS thing, but having an absolute BLAST doing so. It's pretty hard to get me upset, and I'm as easygoing as they come, so I'm all smiles when it comes to this adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books

"The Alchemist" by Paolo Coehlo literally changed my life, for the better. "Doctor Zhivago" is the only book that ever made me cry, and "The Phantom Tollbooth" helps remind me that learning is the most important and entertaining thing in the universe. I like movies that either make me laugh ("Zoolander") or make me think ("City of God", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"). All music is good to me. All of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to China changed my entire worldview. There are not words, in any language, to describe the feeling of walking along the Great Wall, or of standing in the middle of Tiananmen Square.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught English as a foreign language (in China), and can play multiple instruments, as well as sing. I'm also a great, formally trained cook, so gimme a kitchen and I'll share a great meal with you.
