About Me

I was born in Sarajevo, former Yugoslavia, moved to Italy at the age of six, and traveled, studied and lived in different European countries on several occasions in the last decade.
Preventive empathy as a respectful, yet slightly melancholic, approach towards other human beings. I usually lean to introversion and absinthe mindedness, but I do roar into unexpected, unpredictable and fun laughters sometimes, and once I do that, we could well start a new conversation from scratch or just start laughing out loud!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's been already ten years by now, CS changed in the meantime and so did I. High praises to curiosity, since curiosity is what ignites our senses and enables unimaginable encounters.
I like to see my own convictions shake off below my feet and my own biases reversed, and I believe culture and diversity are a great source of richness for all of us.
Some encounters might turn into disappointments, but the art of patience and tolerance are not to be belittled.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like the personal touch, deem it style if you want, in which a guitar chord is struck, the way a sentence or verse are arranged.
I like the slower inner drizzle Pessoa's verses bring about, I could have a good laugh with Hasek's grotesque anarchism, I like Karostami's close-ups and Tarantino's cinematographic wilderness.
I like the harmony of classical and electronic music, anger and wittiness in rap.

I like emotions being expressed by the self, and I like the expression of the self.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived a besiege without even realizing that! Where is my mind?

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach a few words in Polish, like "Kurczaki Pieczone! Czy jestes zaskoczony?"
Oh, teaching is a burdensome matter, and consosants in Polish are a mess. No worries, though, at this point of my life I would rather keep still and listen.

I am overall curious and open - minded, and I always look forward to suggestions, tips

What I Can Share with Hosts

You would see a moka pot set on the kitchen table, and a few steps away a window looking out on the Alps. Between mountains and the windows lay large and wide fields, and far behind that window stays the still sea. This is the hometown I live in.
I am ready to take a nice bike ride with you, dear host, show you around those hamlets which make Friuli dear to me, or just introduce you to my friends.
Do you like cheese?
