About Me
CURRENT MISSION
In search of new faces and new places.
ABOUT ME
I'm a born and raised farm girl who moved into town but never lost her country roots. I'm always up for an adventure, but I also enjoy a rainy day snuggled up with a good book. I am one to throw a dart at a map and jump in the car for no reason other than I simply had the time. I love a good cheeseburger- with extra pickles- any day.
PHILOSOPHY
Whatever is in front of you, choose to say "hallelujah".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I moved from Wisconsin to Austin, Texas and was looking for couches to get me there. Later I moved back to the Midwest to go back to school. I do not have a couch right now, otherwise I would host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only stayed three places so far, but they have all been such wonderful experiences I can't wait to both surf more and host one day.
Interests
Food. Wine. Conversation. History. Sarcasm. Hiking. Crunchy leaves. Good boots. Good beer. Theater. And really loud thunderstorms.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2009 I packed up, broke out of my comfort shell and moved to Spain for one semester to study the Spanish language and culture. It completely changed me.
Teach, Learn, Share
To open a stubborn pistachio when no nutcracker is in sight, use the shell from the last one eaten to pry open a stubborn nut. Seems obvious, but it was a nugget of wisdom I stumbled upon. I feel it my obligation to spread the word.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I'm coming directly from Wisconsin, I like to bring cheese from the Motherland. Otherwise, I bring various trinkets of my gratitude along with really bad puns.
Countries I’ve Visited
Italy, Mexico, Norway, Spain
