CURRENT MISSION

To live my life freely, actively, and boldly, trying to awesome it up as much as possible and making art and noodles along the way. People generally make my day and I am on a mission to not take things Too Seriously.

ABOUT ME

I'm a spunky red-headed photographer and theater artist, and general consumer of culture, food, and oddities. I enjoy whiskey, bright colors, and having my mind blown, and dislike fat-free cream cheese and overuse of words like "spunky". I get along with people, almost universally, and I like to find ways to make life seem more extraordinary for myself and those around me.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel like having a profile on this site to begin with indicates a certain level of openness, friendliness, and adventurousness in a person -- anyone who wants to volunteer their couch to strangers, or sleep on the couch of a stranger themselves, is someone who feels they can benefit from even the most minute/transient connections we make with other people in this world.

I believe that. It's good to be like a lint trap in life, and catch all kinds of crap as it blows on through. Regardless of the grey color and dirt-like appearance, there is plenty of good stuff in there. I hold dear the experiences I have with people I may never see again, and the chances to shift my perspective outside the norm, even for an instant. It's amazing how easy it is to see the extraordinary in life, if you try a little bit.

The world is friends waiting to be made. Let's get drunk together and talk about Pokemon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I know a lot of people who have worked in and around the organization, or surfed themselves, and recently we hosted our first surfers at my apartment in Brooklyn. I have loved the community and the spirit of it, and can't wait to try it myself.

Im a photographer, and take pictures of everything. I could take some pictures of you, if you'd like them (I might want to do this anyway, to record the experience), or I could teach you something about it.
I bake a mean cheesecake/pie.
I can line a deck of cards up and flip them over, domino-effect style. BAM.
I like to make something out of nothing.
