Hello everyone.
This is Lorenzo, initially shy but if you give me time, I'll be very funny and start conversations, to share experiences and to live together.
I was born and grew up in Sicily, then I moved to Milan for studying and now I've been living in Frankfurt since December 2021, working as a Chemical Engineer.
Big cities have given me the chance to see several new aspects of my life, to open my mind, to know wonderful and unexpected people day by day.

"I love meeting new people, languages, habits" is an usual sentence that everyone writes on own CS's profile.
Besides this, I tell you that I'm interested in something else. I believe a culture could be recognized from the daily actions (sometimes stereotypes are right!). For me it is importanti to understand what and how people eat. Eating at local's home makes my travel unique and unrepeatable.
A dinner with who has welcomed me is worth much more than what I had read in guidebooks before my arrival. Politics, history, art, entertainment are told me from who lives in that place. True stories of a society that otherwise I would have barely unveiled.
A new partner (me) wants to know more about you, curious of your life that often takes place thousands of kilometers away from his.
They avoid the routine hostel questions: where have you been, how traveling, what have you seen, and so on. The discussions in these cases concern the desire to deepen the knowledge about the culture which we are confronting with. The questions then become: how is the situation of labor, education? Events? What are the typical dances, the music, can I listen to it? What do you do here? What do you eat, which is the traditional meal? Another side of the same coin, isn’t it?
Because at last these are the moments that I remember with most pleasure and that let me realize if I liked a country/city or not.

Intereses

My main interest is traveling.

I like also planning some trips close where I usually live.

Música, películas y libros

Any kind of music, from Hindi to rock, from pop to jazz. But my favourite band is Coldplay. Other groups are Florence and the Machine, thegiornalisti, alt-j.
I usually like movies with an unexpected ending such as Shutter Island, Inception, The Youth.
I even like sociology, psychology and deep discussions.

I did camping in Lofoten while snowing, waiting for the Northern Lights.

I climbed up to the Teide’s top, the 3rd tallest vulcano in the world.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I like cooking: I love to create dishes from my hands and to know the ingredients of a dish so I can taste it better.
I can teach you to cook most Italian (and Sicilian) meals.
