ABOUT ME

Who are we...well. Lorna is creative, gracious, fun and a great person to share a trip with. She is bright, articulate and a wonderful cook and accomplished in the garden. My name is Wendy. I think I have a good sense of humour, I am kind and enjoy meeting new people.

We are related by marriage and have been like sisters for years. We have common interests and have travelled together before. We both are interested in learning about the places we visit and the people we met there. Sounds sappy but it is true!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe we are both engaging people who listen and can communicate well with others. Both of our lives have been rich and full and we have stories to share. This does not mean we would not love to hear yours!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We haven't hosted yet but know others that have and said it was great. So we thought we should try it. Have stayed in B&B and are used to being in someone we don't knows home. I believe we are respectful of that fact. Have enjoyed the hosts and others that are travelling also. Have found the whole experience enriching.

Zainteresowania

Gardening, hiking, kayaking, travelling, architecture, trains, the ocean, walking my big dogs, people from the British Isles. Actually want to search out family history in Scotland as my family from there. England has family roots also...Plus Ireland see the green rolling hills.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Like all kinds Celtic Music, Rock and Roll, Blues, actually folk music also. Love British Drama, comedy... the sitcom Absolutely Fabulous (we can relate). Mysteries and variety of authors if I can stay awake!

Walking on the frozen lake at the cabin hearing the cracking of the ice but being so distracted by the amazing star filled sky.

Midwife to our retriever having her 10 puppies all night long... amazing.
