About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To love

ABOUT ME

I am a very easygoing person. I love to meet other people, to discover different cultures and to engage in interesting and passionate conversations. From politics till cooking, I consider myself curious about the whole world, always willing to learn something new.
And I love to laugh! Is there something more delicious in life than laughing and having fun? I don't think so. That is living the good life, that's loving and caressing every gasp of air you breath.

PHILOSOPHY

"Live as if you would die tomorrow, learn as if you would live forever" - Mahatma Gandhi

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now I can only couchsurf :( I am living in a room and there is literally no space to receive anyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couchhosting my whole life! When I lived in Brazil, my house was called "the hotel" as it was the destination of desperate friends or random people I had met in travels. In sum, I am VERY excited to now be part of a community of people who think like me. And I already know I will have a blast!

Interests

I am interested in people and their histories; in getting to know other cultures; in traveling to new places and seeing beyond the tourist landmarks; in world politics and political science in general; in philosophy and that deep stuff that we talk over some wine (or beer, no problem); in arts and doing art myself; in languages and talking about the thinking behind them; in literature and discovering unexploited narratives.

Music, Movies, and Books

I couldn't possibility list everything, so here it goes some:
Authors: Gabriel García Marques, José Saramago, Herman Hesse, Milan Kundera, George Orwell, Graham Greene, Pablo Neruda, Cecília Meirelles (...)
Movies: Amelie Poulain, The Godfather, V for Vendetta, Inglorious Bastards (...)
Music: Belle and Sebastian, Dave Matthews Band, Chico Buarque, Elis Regina, Madeleine Peyroux, U2, The Beatles (...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have done was to travel to the "deep" Brazil and get to know people's histories. We say that there are many Brazils inside Brazil, and I feel privileged that I got to live that. It changed me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach about Brazilian culture, politics, music and art :) We are quite a big country, so I would have heaps to talk about - and I really enjoy doing it. I can also teach (or practice) some Portuguese, or how to make caipirinhas, or a good (and funny) technique to start dancing samba.
I would be willing to learn anything! Now I am really into improving my poor abilities as a cooker, so I would be keen on learning some regional dish too. :)

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, France, New Zealand, Switzerland
