About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel, learn, make friends, find more peace, and grow while finding happiness in being unapologetically myself. Above everything, it’s extremely important to me to be a good, kind, and open-hearted person.
“The best things in life are the people you LOVE, the places you’ve BEEN, and the MEMORIES you make along the way.”
ABOUT ME
I recently quit my job as a Catering Coordinator/Manager, cut a lot of toxicity from my life, and am ready to grow and rediscover my values through travel. I've always had a passion for it, but now I want to spend time exploring new places while nurturing the relationship I have with myself. I'm honest to a fault and have a wicked sense of humor. I can be goofy yet serious, boisterous yet quiet, spontaneous yet meditated. I’m very respectful, independent, curious, thoughtful, and genuine! There are many sides to me, but they're all kind and adventurous. I’m also fluent in sarcasm!
I was born and raised in the United States in Montana, went to culinary school in Colorado for baking and pastry, then continued my education in West Virginia by studying Interpersonal Communication and Professional Writing and Editing.
I love baking, cooking, reading, learning, meeting new people, making friends, medical science, traveling, and a host of other hobbies! I'm not 100% where I'm going in life, but I know that I'm going to do everything to enjoy each step forward because for too long I wasn't.
PHILOSOPHY
It's important for me to take my dreams seriously. I would rather do everything with passion than to die of boredom. I truly believe that adventures shape who we are.
"Sometimes you just have to jump out of the window and grow wings on the way down."
- Ray Bradbury
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couch-surfed some in college and had really great experiences overall! Now that I have several years in the professional world and am looking for a change, I'm ready to get back out there an open back up to exploration as I've always found so much value in it. After I figure out where I want to end up next, I'll host as well and continue to travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed in college, but haven't since 2014. I want to use this site to meet people, foster new friendships, and have great experiences along the way.
I do NOT think of Couchsurfing as just a free place to stay or another Airbnb. To me, having an inside look at a city with a local and lover of their surroundings is priceless, and what will make an already amazing journey even more special.
Interests
Cooking, baking, people, reading, writing, traveling, learning, being with friends and family, exploring, trying new foods/restaurants, singing and dancing, volleyball, having great conversations. Note that I love dancing and music, but have very little rhythm and two left feet! I always try though; at the very least, it’s entertaining!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: All the Bourne movies, Red Eye, Die Hard, Center Stage, Sound of Music, Ghostbusters, Cast Away, Michael, Liar Liar, Big, Blast From the Past, Under the Tuscan Sun, French Kiss, Overboard, The Day After Tomorrow, Footloose, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Time Traveler's Wife, and more.
Music: I love all music except heavy metal. But particular favorites are dance, electronic, house, pop, and hip-hop. I just love things with beats that I can bop around to! But I think there’s music to every mood we feel, so I’m fluid.
Books: Reading is my escape. I am a sucker for contemporary romance, but also enjoy mystery and psychological thrillers as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got to go on an archaeological dig and exploration in Israel right on the Sea of Galilee at Bethsaida!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share many cooking and baking skills! I love being in the kitchen and would enjoy exchanging recipes. I can also help with any English questions as I speak it fluently and have studied it. I would love to share so many stories and laughter! I’m a very open-minded, open-hearted person and I love meeting people and getting to know them on a personal, human level.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Possibly some baked goods, kind and open conversations, and classic dad-jokes.
