ABOUT ME

I graduated from film school in 2009 and now work as a motion graphics designer in Los Angeles. I work for a company that edits TV commercials, but I really enjoy finding ways to work for non-profits. I'd do that full-time if I could swing it. I meditate, a read, a do creative writing, but my life on the whole is very job-centered. Personal connections and hearing other people's stories is very important to me. I've done a lot of traveling in Africa and Europe, as well as some in south America. I'd love to do more some day.

PHILOSOPHY

Follow the truth wherever it may lead you. Try your best to be the person you want to be; if you fall, reassess and get back on the horse. Life is action. Don't waste time on guilt.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, but finally I'm hosting! Still waiting for my first CSers, but I have an open couch in sunny LA ready for anyone who doesn't mind adorable stray kittens meowing outside the door each morning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled through Africa alone for 3 months, got malaria twice. Worked at my summer camp and watched kids go through huge changes in the space of seven days; seeing those kids leave felt like a bigger rite than my college graduation.

Teach, Learn, Share

English, French, Spanish, drawing, writing/story structure, film editing (usually have my laptop with me), cooking crepes, ghost stories, funny walks. I'd love to learn a little guitar and do more rock climbing.
