About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Budapest...Europe...World...one day at a time!

ABOUT ME

I'm a shy young guy, with an imaginative and somewhat inventive mind, I like comics books, novels, graphic novels, cinema, theater (have only seen amateur though), music, and I love to write both poetry and fiction (science fiction or not) and to draw and imagine new worlds, people and creatures, I am attracted to foreign languages like a moth to a flame (more or less), I speak Portuguese fluently (portuguese parents and was raised in Portugal since I was 3), English fluently as well, always interested since it is the language of where I came from (born), I speak a regular Spanish (castellano if you may), some French (I have family over in France), can say little to nothing of German (Deutsche) as well as some phrases in Japanese, also will be learning the basics of Hungarian (Magyar) this August. Will be attending the Eramsus programme for the entirety of a year in Budapest, hoping to learn more of a culture that I don't know much about. I've also been creating a story since 1998 (still not finished, it keeps growing on my mind, might finish it in a year or 2, hopefully)...what else can I say? I like to talk with interesting people that have something to teach or just about an interesting subject, any subject is valid, I'm a friend to those that are my friends and those that aren't, I am shy but once I get to know someone I open up more giving more of myself to the friendship development, but don't expect for me to reveal any dark hidden secrets - mainly because I have none...I think that's all for now.

PHILOSOPHY

It should be: "live the day as if it is your last" - Carpe Diem and all that, and I think mainly that is the whole idea, but without forgetting the boundaries of each individual and appreciating their own opinions, which I find most of the times refreshing, so: "live your day as if it were your last, but don't forget about the others, and if possible help them along your way"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can only travel a bit since my financial life isn't very steady, so I'll probably just try to get acquainted and try to assimilate all the foreign cultures that I come in contact with for better and worse (life has its ways, but hopefully for better :)), the next step will probably either be made in Portugal in my hometown when I return after Erasmus or when my life gets a steady rhythm and I'll probably be able to host some Couchsurfers in my humble abode, I live in a very central cosy little town in the middle of a tri-city area, quite nice and helpful :), 30 kms from the beach as well, at least from one of them. Many cultural points of interest in 2 of the surrounding cities, although they are quite small cities, they are very interesting, and the nightlife around here is also very interesting and the people are friendly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only couchsurfing experiences I have had are staying at my friends flats while some of them were studying and only one time before that with someone I barely knew, so I've visited Lisbon more than 10 times, I've been to Faro one time, and Porto (Oporto) another couple of times, honestly it's a great experience, all of them were really great experiences, I have fond memories of them all, and I hope that my future couchsurfing experiences are as enriching as these previous ones, but with different people.

Interests

As previously stated: Design, Illustration, Novels, Graphic Novels, Comic Books, Cinema, Poetry, writing and drawing, and most importantly - meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've never done anything quite amazing, sorry :( , and haven't seen anything amazing either...
