Currently teaching English in Japan. Have lived in Japan for nearly two years now and love every moment. I'm a fun active kind of guy who loves new adventures and visiting new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have to confess that I dont actually have a couch as such! ... as this is Japan I have futons on the floor, which are just as comfortable and my apartment is Japanese style. My apartment is close to the station and I have a car. I work a lot during the week and often go away at the weekends travelling myself, but if you let me know your plans in advance I will re-arrange things to be around.

Having visited many areas of Japan on a 2 month solo backpacking trip 2 years ago and now having lived here for nearly 2 years, I have a pretty extensive knowledge of where to go and can reccommend a lot of interesting things to see/do. I will be happy to help anyone who needs advice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once met a random guy in Korea who offered me his house after I met him on a train to Seoul. Like the Japanese, Koreans are incredibly kind and hospitable. I was given access to his computer, food in his fridge and a bath/shower. When we reached the guys apartment he told me he was working all night and that he wouldnt be in!

I once got stuck in rural Italy and met some Americans late at night having tried many local places to stay. Thankfully they took me back to their rented apartment and put me up otherwise I would have slept on the beach!!
