About Me

I’m Javy, but folks ‘round here know me as *Captain J*. A salty sailor, tequila connoisseur, and host of the podcast of a fishing podcast I'm working on — where we dive deep into fishin’, travelin’, and the wild stories that connect us all. If ye plan to stay aboard my humble vessel, be warned: this ain't no Airbnb, and it sure ain't for landlubbers who don’t like fishin’.

Aye, Let the Tequila Show You the Way
*Te Amo Tequila* still means *I love you, tequila* — and I’m here to celebrate life, not babysit ye. Let the bottle guide you, the stories flow, and the fish bite.

Who Am I?
Captain by trade, storyteller by nature. I spend most of me time navigating the waters off the California coast, chasin’ sunsets and big catches. Been a Couchsurfing mate for over 10 years, and though the tides have shifted, my love for hosting wild-hearted travelers never has.

But these days... it’s for kindred souls — fellow wanderers who live for castin’ lines and explorin’ the unknown.

If you crash here, know this: you *must* be into fishing and traveling. Not just “I once fished on vacation,” but actually *into* it. And aye, I might ask you to hop on the podcast and share your tales. If that excites ye, send a message and tell me:
**Why are you into fishing, and what are some badass fish you’ve caught in your time?** If your story makes my parrot raise an eyebrow, you just might get a spot on deck.

What You’ll Get (Besides a Bunk)
- Home-cooked Mexican meals and handcrafted tequila margaritas
- Sunset cocktails and tales under the stars
- Deep convos, boat life lessons, and possibly the best damn fish stories you’ll ever hear

MARINA CODE (Break It and Walk the Plank)
- No guests without permission
- If I’m not on the boat, you *can’t* be either. Marina rules, not mine — they be strict as a sea witch.
- Pick up after yourself
- Quiet hours after 9pm
- No ghosts, freeloaders, or bad vibes

FINAL WORD
I’m here for *quality, not quantity*. If you’re the type who wants to share skills, swap stories, cook up something good, and maybe wrangle in a halibut or two — then aye, ye just might be my kind of crew.

Let’s raise a glass, cast a line, and chase the sun.

PHILOSOPHY

“When I was five years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "Being Happy". They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life.
- John Lennon

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On CouchSurfing to meet other travelers who are rad, chill, and down to earth. Not here to babysit, to stress it, or to be your butler.
