My rule for saying I've been to a country is being able to tell something about its nature, culture and people as I feel like those are the foundation and soul of a place. For me meeting local people is one of the best ways to really getting to know and to understand a country. I love talking about the differences and similarities cause apart from teaching me about others they taught me a lot about myself too. I believe there's always more to learn and you should do this as much as you can.

I mostly travel alone so the company you get is also a big advantage of using this site. I believe it's the people you meet along the way that can make you remember your trip forever.

It amazes me how many incredible people there are on this platform and I'm extremely glad I started using it.

I stepped way out of my comfort zone when I went on my first solo trip through Ireland in 2017. I'm still proud of letting myself have those experiences and I'm glad with all it taught me.

After that I added a month Europe to it too. Staying at and meeting around 50 people from couchsurfing.
