Originally from New York City and now based in Manhattan Beach, California.

I direct research at an investment firm that's focused on the energy/infrastructure sectors. I'm fortunate to be able to work remotely most of the time, but do have to travel for work often.

I’m easy going, enjoy the standard stuff (fitness, travel, arts, diving). Always on the hunt for the elusive balance between work and life. Still looking! I took 2-yrs off in '09 for a world trip and that experience changed my perspective on life and travel in general. My medium-term goal is to do that again, ideally circumnavigating in a catamaran next time.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I've been pretty fortunate to end up living on the beach in an awesome town. Couchsurfing seems like (and has so far been) a great way to pay it forward a bit while getting my travel fix - the best part of which is meeting interesting people from around the world.

Intereses

Cooking, movies, art, building stuff, introspective books, scuba diving, small businesses/startups, energy transition, carbon impact/climate change, good intelligent banter, and anything beach/ocean are my passions.

Netflix-binger at times. Name it, sadly I've probably seen it.

Spent a month in Myanmar before the country opened up (and sadly closed down again...) - by far my richest travel experience.
