ABOUT ME

Random meetings lead to great experiences...

I truly believe in encounters. What interests me is the way to connect people from very diverse backgrounds....

I think I'm an easy person to live with. It doesn't mean that I never doubt or question myself rather it means that I look for the best in everyone and try to work on myself from day to day.

I'm interested in many fields; i'm currently into collaborative economics models and now working for an Environmental Institute. I've been wholly working in consulting for the public sector (urbanism/sustainable development/user based scenarios). My last experience focused on developing financing opportunities for an international association in urban agriculture.

In a whole, I really like Art, especiallly German expressionnism. At the same time, I do not have one type of paintings or sculptures in mind, it is much more based on direct emotions with the piece of Art. I'm more into modern art (léger, brancusi, calder, klimt, kirchner, gallen-kallela)but love to discover new artists. I did some paintings as well and would like to keep on painting when I do have some time.

I love reading (literature +opinion ) and of course to be updated with what's going on all over the world, even though I truly believe in the possibilities of local communities.

I love dancing, I did more or less 10 years of Ballet. I love bicycling/ practising badminton and walking around on my own in cities. Then, while in The USA, I took a really good African dance class and kept practising in France. I would like to start swing dancing.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosting people in my family house for ever since I was a youg teenager.
Since I live on my own, I've been hosting regularly friends and friends of friends... I think maybe 30 different people stayed in my different apartments when I was in Paris.
Sharing a home is an experience i'm used (Roomating for more than 6 years).
I presently live in Brussels with my companion but we still open our doors when people are passing by.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had my first couchsurfing experience in India and it was an amazing one. I recall nice conversations at night while drinking chai tea in Mumbai or badminton on a roof of Puducherry...
I couchsurfed at a jewel's designer who was from the same city in France than me...We met again in a christmas market in the North of France !

Pretty diverse music tastes: 50's Swing music, 60's rock and roll, rockabilly, Indie Rock, Tzigan music, atmospheric sounds..
Artists from Chopin, Bach (Cello suites), Eric Satie, Ravi Shankar up to Antibalas, Fela Kuti, Nina Simone, Colin Stetson, Brel, Brassens...It depends on my mood....I like various types on music except for consumerist Hip Hop or R&B, heavy metal me and rap music.

Again, it's hard to tell.
Almost met Obama when he was not elected in a small meeting in North Carolina.
Met my companion in a tramway?

Actually, nothing really special but small things that are special to me !

I have different skills but It's hard to lay them down on the paper.
- some good board games and others (gained from my 5 years as a councellor with children and teenagers)
- ballet/african dance
- cooking own recipes
- singing

I'de love to learn Tango and swing , Indian cooking (which spices and so one), work on my voice, practice my German, calligrapy....
