Hi there,

my name is Louis and was born in Germany surrounded by a strong circle of friends and family. Yet being in my early twenties I've decided its best for me to go out for a while and travel the world with all its vigorous beauty. In times like these it is even more important to find one's passion and try to follow the path where you can achieve the most. I believe in the concept of self actualization. "Experiencing fully, vividly, passionately, with full concentration and total absorbtion." The Pursuit of Happiness takes a lifetime so do not stop pursuing :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people has always played a big part in my live. Thankfully, it was never hard for me to get in touch with others and make a lot of new friends. In the end, no one likes to be lonely and society is built on relationships and cooperation. My goal while traveling is to live life to the fullest, enjoy every moment and get an insight into all the different cultures by meeting as many people as possible. Without cultural exchange, our world would not be as magnificent as it is.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
In terms of music, I basically listen to everthing but deep inside I will never stop loving the 80s. These songs have a special way of conveing a message. The bands at that time created songs and albums which will hopefully last for eternity.

Movies:
In this context it is pretty similiar to my music preferences. I'm a fan of all kinds of movies but especially comedy and fantasy reserve a lot of space in my watchlist and film shelf. Series like 'friends' shape you for life. The title 'Lord of the rings' speaks for itself.

Books:
When it comes to books I'm a bit more specific.
In this case I'm a big fan of all kinds of philosophers like Nietzsche, Kant and Schopenhauer.
Next up we have History. Not only one of my favourite subjects back in school but also a journey for life.
Many countries have such a rich history and dealing with the past in a proper way can help you built the future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-(Night-) Diving with sharks in the Great Barrier Reef
-Skydiving over the great Ocean Road
-High-fived a manta Ray at Hamelin Bay, WA
-Stargazed at the most beautiful nightsky/milkyway on the nullabor plain, SA
-Watched the sun melting into the ocean and emerging from it during a sailing trip on a catamaran through the Whitsundays
-Exploring every bit of land the island of the gods has to offer while enjoying exquisite local food, good surf, stunning corals, juicy rice fields and jungle, magical dancenights as well as long walks through long forgotten temples.
-Riding the most dangerous and madest roller-coasters ever built by humans at magic mountain California
-Wandering on the paths of Hercules, Odesseus, the Spartans and trojans, Zeus, Othello and other fellas of ancient times during a cruise through the Ägäis, Greece
