ABOUT ME

I am half-French half-American, hopefully the best halves of each. Just another searcher, for wisdom and beauty and ecstatic laughter-- you know, basic stuff. I would like to think I am kind and considerate and very sensitive to things like taking good care of someone's couch if they let me borrow it.

PHILOSOPHY

Ha ha ha, well, it seems that beyond the plane of self-consciousness there is a oneness which is actually inherent in all things, and I would like to maintain contact with that higher level of being more often. I also enjoy riding my bicycle and generally not bothering anybody, even possibly amusing other people with my antics, and lending a hand when appropriate.

None yet! But I hear many great things. I am glad I can finally try it myself.

Literature, art, philosophy, anthropology, biking, swimming, hiking, drinking coffee, making up lists of names of imaginary rappers that sound like other famous people (ex. Kris Kross Kristoferson, Doogie Hammer M.C.)

I am trying to watch more old movies, especially French ones. In books I read widely and eclectically, but I love modern poetry from America and France. Herman Melville and Walt Whitman are my totems. Music is always interesting if it has soul.

Fleeing from Benghazi, Libya when it was being attacked by Qadaffi tanks and then seeing the French planes come in and blow them up.

I have been to a lot of crazy, war-torn areas of the world so that has given me a pretty relaxed attitude about most things, which I hope I can impart. I am good with languages and computers.
