Overview
About Me
Hi :) I'm Louisa
I'm currently in Santiago, Chile for my semester abroad. This city is incredibly huge, and comes with a lot of smog, but also great opportunities. It's dynamic, experimental, waiting with open arms for you t ok start making an impact. There's tons of Startups, lots of environmental initiatives, overall a very innovative city.
If you're on your way through and want to stay a couple of days in a nice central place, let me know :)
The house is very old and needs some repairs, so don't be expecting a luxury holiday, but it's enough for me :)
Side note: I don't own a trash can (will be able to compost soon tho), so please be aware that you will have to rid yourself of the waste that you bring into my home :p
CURRENT MISSION
Inspiring people to live more environmental-friendly :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy meeting people, having good conversation and lots of laughter and sharing a meal together :) and also I currently feel lonely at home, so why not have people stay over ;) can't be outside all the time am I right?

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies; I mostly watch rom-coms, drama or comedies. Oh and musicals are awesome too
Music: very open-minded, but mostly mainstream, pop, indie and deep house.
Books: everything that is well written and doesn't scare the shit out of me ^^
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One? How? Why? What? One? But ... there's so many ... I can't decide!
Moved to Santiago (Chile) for the semester and already have a love-hate-relationship with it :p
Walked a small part of the Camino de Santiago (Spain) - it was definitely an experience ...
Went on my first festival for my 22 birthday and absolutely loved it!
Hiked up a mountain in Norway and saw 3 reindeer o.o
Travelled through Europe without any money for 15 days, through 5 countries with one of my best friends.
Hiked up the Remarkables in Queenstown and heard ... absolutely nothing - it was completely silent - I cried, because it was so beautiful :)
Seen the first sunrise of 2016 at the eastern most point of New Zealand (aka the east cape on the north island)
Met some of the most inspiring people whilst hitchhiking or wwoofing in New Zealand
Generally : New Zealand - it's a beautiful country with so much to offer!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're interested, I live a zero waste and vegan lifestyle (have been for the past 2 years) and could definitely share that with you :)
Either way, we'll find sth interesting to talk about and maybe end up teaching each other unexpected things - who knows?
