About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new and interesting people, this is the way to travel!

ABOUT ME

Who are we?

We're a young couple usually living in Montreal, Canada, and trying to explore the world as much as possible. I lived in Paris for an exchange semester and traveled to other places in between university years, and Marianne spent two summers working with children in the Canadian Rockies and also went to Costa Rica.

We're currently taking a year off from our work and travelling the world!

What do we do?

We are both lawyers based in Montreal, Canada.

What do we like do to back home?

Both of us enjoy sports. I used to play on my university's football (soccer) team, and still play soccer and basketball regularl. Marianne used to play volleyball competitively, and now plays badminton and does yoga on a regular basis. We both run, surf, ski and do a bunch of other stuff!

What do we like to do while traveling?

We're always very keen in doing hiking/trekking and finding good surf spots. But we also like to wander around and get lost in cities, or find a small pub and share a good local beer. We can adapt easily: we'll have as much fun waking up early to catch the sunrise sitting on a cliff than partying until 4 am and not remember anything.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe traveling is not so much about the places you visit but about the people you meet! They are the ones you remember after your trip, and you don't need pictures to remind you of your time together. That's what traveling is all about!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered couchsurfing while traveling in Europe because it was the best way to travel on a budget. Since then I've met wonderful people and had amazing experiences, and couchsurfing is no longer a means to travel cheaply but a perfect way to discover the local culture! This was especially true in Sri Lanka, when I introduced Marianne to CS and where we had wonderful hosts. I hope this continues to be the case in further travels.
