I am in my 60th year, married and love travelling. I am very honest, trustworthy and always look on the bright side of life. I enjoy a good laugh , nice wine, conversation and learning about other cultures. I enjoy a healthy life style and healthy eating but I’m not a gym junkie at all. I love to dine out, go to theatre, comedy, movies and live music. Music is a big part of my life and I enjoy all styles of music from classical to hip hop as long as it’s played well 🤘😀. I have four adult children and five grandchildren and my husband and I own a music school in Bunbury WA called Rock n Roll High School (thanks Ramones) . We are semi retired.
About us: My husband and partner in life Ian, is a music specialist and plays guitar and bass guitar. We have been married for 25 years and are grandparents. We love travelling and getting to know people from other countries and believe it is the best way to learn about another country.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We joined couchsurfing back in 2002 when my husband turned 50 and absolutely loved the whole experience of being able to meet amazing people and getting a glimpse into the “real” life of a place rather than a tourist travelling from hotel to hotel. We believe in the goodness of people and the sharing of local knowledge over a glass of wine and sharing a meal, a coffee and listening to the stories and travels of others. Travelling to me is as much about the people as it is about the place. We have also hosted many travellers of all ages and from many different places but unfortunately deactivated our account back in about 2010-12 and have been unable to retrieve it but - I haven’t given up yet 😀

I did teach singing for many years but haven’t taught now for about 8 years. I’ve played in Rock bands and jazz bands but please don’t ask me to sing now 🤣. I recently took piano lessons rather than just playing scales for singing students.. I also used to play guitar and like to have a hit if the drums.

A sense of humour and tales of travel and life. I am a good listener and would love to share a meal and some good Australian wine with our hosts. I’ve also enjoyed making a very Australian desert for my hosts called a Pavlova which I would be happy to do again. We are very respectful and clean and will go above and beyond to respect our hosts hospitality and home as we would our own. We are not noisy party people, we are non smokers and not generally night owls unless have been out for theatre or music event.
