About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, explore, make friends, experience the world

ABOUT ME

I fell in love with the French language in high school, and I eventually decided to make a career out of it. Learning a new language led me to travel, and as most people on couchsurfing probably know...I got hooked. I just got back to the States after my 3rd trip to Europe where I lived and taught in France. While living in France I discovered a whole new way of traveling, meeting people, and discovering new places, and I also learned just how important all 3 of those things are to me. I look forward to future adventures and future friends!

PHILOSOPHY

Il y a les fleurs partout pour qui veut bien les voir.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just surf right now. I'm in transition and don't have a regular living place, so I can't host, but I'm always up for meeting up with people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've managed to couchsurf a few times, and it has been awesome every time! I unfortunately haven't been able to make it to events, but I hope to get more involved in the future!

Interests

Languages fascinate me. I spent many years in school studying French and I've found that the more I learn about one language or culture, the more I want to discover others. I'm an avid dancer, having tried many kinds, though my foundation is ballet, and my current love is swing and salsa. I'm a certified teacher, and I love helping students of all ages learn and discover the world. Though it sounds cliché to say, I'm the type of person who's always looking for the beauty in the world, in good situations and bad. I find that life becomes so much more awe-inspiring when you don't wait for amazing things to happen but instead seek out the amazing-ness in the world currently surrounding you.
