Grew up in a household that took in anyone who stumbled across our small town. It's just a way of life to take in travelers.

ABOUT ME

I'm a passionate person. My passions vary widely from Texas Hold 'em (poker) to travel to politics to faith. I love discussing ideas with people. I love finding out why people believe what they believe and why they behave the way they behave. I believe in living large, laughing a lot and enjoying all the experiences I can fit into this life I've been given!

PHILOSOPHY

I live life large! Laugh loud, long and hard! Enjoy everything and everyone around me. If you are going to do a thing, do it with purpose and intention. Learn all you can. Love. And, being a Christian, I look for God's purpose in my life and try to accomplish what He has put me here to accomplish.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Romantic comedy mostly. I love to escape.
Music: Just about anything. Trance, electronica and dance get tedious very quickly.
Books: I don't really take time to sit down with a book. I listen to audio books while I walk my dog. LOVE the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing in the hall of mirrors at Versailles was awe inspiring.
Standing in front of the Mona Lisa, even though I was still a stupid teenager, was pretty cool.
Neuschwanstein, Eiffel Tower, Coliseum, Siege of Leningrad Cemetery, German castles, Cathedrals, Niagara Falls, Hawaii, singing in Carnegie Hall, changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, Arlington National Cemetery, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountains, flying in a plane over anything (takeoff!).......
Standing in historical spots, if I give myself a few minutes, is pretty powerful. I think about all I know about that place and I can sense the history.
