Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in Java and India to wonderful, huge-hearted hosts, an incredible introduction into couchsurfing and what a positive tool it is. It's a karma network, and to experience the giving and receiving in this way is so incredibly rewarding.

Interests

I enjoy searching for opportunities that enable me to immerse myself in new and diverse surroundings all the time. I have the eternal travel bug, and love to attend community events, festivals and markets. I enjoy finding opportunities that enable to me to play games and create theatre with young people. To relax, I like to cook; both experimenting as well as following recipes, and also to eat out - I am always on the lookout to taste new cuisines! Also to relax, I have began, in the last 6 months, to practice yoga - which I aim to sustain as a long term hobby and practice in greater depth on my future travels. In addition, I like to read, go to the theatre and to music events.

I love living by and learning from the locals of the countries I visit, how they fulfil their traditions, culture and the quirks of everyday life. I aim to sustain my travelling by immersing myself in situations wherein I can experience this and to aim to give back to communities I visit as much as possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing wild manatees in Miami, being taught Acting skills by the professors of the Moscow Art Theatre School, walking into St Marco Polo Sq. in Venice for the first time, meeting wonderful people on my travels...
