ABOUT ME

Im lucky to have a job that enables me to travel the world... I'm a tour guide 7 months of the year, the other 5 i dabble in tattooing and scuba diving/underwater photography. I have lived in some spectacular places but am always excited to see more... my list keeps getting longer and longer, but I'm currently fixated on sailing around polynesia...
so i guess i should learn how to sail...
Im really curious about the world and how it works and fascinated by all of the subtle and not so subtle differences between cultures and languages and peoples!
I guess I'm a mix of adrenaline/knowledge junkie, art geek, wanderer, adventure seeker... but overall I'm super chill.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because of the about of time i spend *on the road* for work, its difficult to meet up with cool people since I'm often in a different city every other day... but through CS I've been able to meet some truly amazing hosts/travellers to share ridiculously fun times with. Im always up for meting other CSers wherever i am in the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about CS through an Italian friend almost 10 years ago... since then i have met some of the most inspiring and entertaining people, culminating in random adventures like road tripping through eastern turkey and georgia in a run down bus/sometimes tractor, cooking a thai feast in germany, spending the night in a filipino prison (as guests)

So far i haven't been able to host much since I'm not often in vancouver, but I'm currently renovating a house in the Philippines where i can hopefully start hosting people in 2014!! Close to a gorgeous beach and amazing diving spots!!!

兴趣

The outdoors... being from vancouver I grew up doing a lot of camping and water activities... diving, kayaking, fishing... If I'm away from the water too long i really miss it.
FOOD and cooking. Thai curries are my specialty.
Photography and art in general... i have a soft spot for the rennaissance but i do love dali.

diving with manta rays in indonesia
getting lost on a walk in the mountains of albania... in the rain... and getting rescued by a group of farmers on donkeys.
and thus began the love affair with the uber STRONG local alcohol RAKI! :)
