ABOUT ME

one time while i was in bratislava, i met a guy from finland (who im still in touch with!). he said i wasn't like what he expected from americans. i asked him what he was expecting and he said, "someone stupid and fat." there ya go, to sum me up: a euro doesn't think im stupid or fat.

i'm currently in school for global social work which means i like meeting people from all different kinds of places and perspectives. im particularly interested in getting into local cultures and subcultures and i'm big on adventuring and urban survival. im super super lefty, love recycling, embarrassed of the Tea Party/Sarah Palin/American govt/mcdonalds culture.i have traveled to so many places (throughout europe, middle east, south asia, uzbekistan [which gets its own category]) and met so many amazing people. i had to stop for a while to come back to new york for school, but i need to get back out there.

PHILOSOPHY

As different as we have been taught to look at each other by colonial society, we are in the same struggle and until we realize that, we'll be fighting for scraps from the table of a system that has kept us subservient instead of being self-determined.... As much as racism bleeds America, we need to understand that classism is the real issue. Many of us are in the same boat and it's sinking, while these bougie motherfuckers ride on a luxury liner, and as long as we keep fighting over kicking people out of the little boat we're all in, we're gonna miss an opportunity to gain a better standard of living as a whole.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

ive couchsurfed and freeloaded a lot in my lifetime, however, i've never done so so formally before. all my previous couchsurfing/freeloading experience has been done utilizing some bait and switch method. im happy to be progressing as i've graduated into an adult couchsurfing-freeloader.

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i once accidentally got myself involved in an international drug smuggling cargo busride from vietnam to laos. crazy shit like that just seems to happen to me. like, for instance, i have seen more than 4 penises on the nyc subway in the past year. thats an average of 1 subway penis every 3 months. why do people feel compelled to show me their junk? i dont know, you tell me.
