Hi! I’m a 20 year old guy looking to break out of my hometown and have new experiences, meet new characters, and wander into new places. The world of weary travelers fascinates me and I think there’s a lot to learn and enjoy from getting out there and leaving what is comfortable behind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to journey into the unknown and see what I find. I’m also thinking of chronicling my travels and eventually turning that into a book.

Interests

I’m simply interested in traveling and absorbing, experiencing everything I can for the most part. I love snowboarding, chess, watching (certain) sports and having deep or hilarious conversation. I can play piano so if you have one I’d love to hit the keys!

Music, Movies, and Books

Superhero movies are awesome, but pretty much anything with Leonardo DiCaprio is going to be one of my favorite movies. I like all kinds of music excluding country and heavy metal/screamo. One of my favorite books is Into the Wild, but I don’t read all that much anymore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed the presidential traverse in New Hampshire in one summer night with a friend when we were around 16 years old. I’ll never forget being on the peak of our last mountain, and looking back over the six mountains we had climbed as the sun rose up over them. It was beautiful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m broke, but of course I see it as a given that a guest helps their host any way they can in return for their generosity. Cleaning, errands, pet sitting/babysitting (I worked at a summer camp and was a counselor for younger children) are all things I would happily do for a kind stranger.
