About Me
Hi, My name is Luca Wegmann and I am on a Work&Travel Visa in Australia. Before I came to Australia I worked as a teacher assistant in a primary school ( in my home town) for 6,5 months. During this time I noticed that working with children is a lot of fun. So I applied for Au-Pair Jobs and worked for three months in Sydney as an Au-Pair. I am a very humerous, friendly and open-minded person who loves meeting new people and getting to know different cultures and life styles. I am playing the Saxophon, love going out for a walk and meeting friends. Additionally I enjoy learning languages. English was always my main subject, but I also learned Latin for seven years and Italian for three years. I have rapport with my hole family and enjoy spending time with them. Sadly I have no siblings but I am very close to my cousins who are like siblings to me. They are a few years older but nevertheless we love going to swimming pools, cinemas or just meeting for a barbecue and a chat. I am looking forward to spend a great time with you by having nice conversations and nice activties.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At the moment I am travelling from Sydney to Cairns but noticed that a lot of places are very touristic. A friend of mine who I met during my travels informed me about couchsurfing and how many amazing experiences she made. I would love to get in touch with people who aren`t just "travellers" or "backpackers", but real Australians. I hope that we can spend an amazing time together by lovely talks or I would love to get to know more about the are you live in and you may like to show me a little around.
Interests
I am a person who loves travelling and has seen a lot since now. Together with my parents I travelled a lot through Europe. I enjoyed seeing how people live in different countries and loved the beauties of each country, f.e. the imposing structures of Antoni Gaudi, the fjors in Norway or the religious significance of Jerusalem.
In my free time I love reading books, especially crimes and I am playing the Saxophon since I am 12. One of my favourite spare time activities is spending time with friends who are like my second family. We love going out on the weekend , going to the cinema or just meeting to gibble a little bit.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love hearing different types of music. Mostly it depends on my mood which kind of music I hear. I love hearing Jazz, but also Charts and a lot of Pop Songs. Nevertheless I am not averse to hearing a lot of different types. As I told you before I love reading crimes but also spellbinders. For me it is important that the fictional characters are interesting and exciting.
Additionally I love watching movies as well. No matter if it is a comedy like "The Easy A", a Drama like "The Help" or a love movie like "The Holiday". I like a lot of movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My 18th Birthday present was a hot air balloon tour together with my cousin Johanna. We started in a forrest near my home town and landed nearly 80 kilometres away. The most exciting moment was when we touched a lake with the bottom part because our driver forgot to por out sand so that we get higher again. He did it last minute but our feet were wet regardless. After the arriving we got a bottle of Champagne and got a feast because it was our first time. It was such an amazing and exciting experience which I would love to do again.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach you some German, Latin or Italian sentences. As well I really enjoy cooking so that we could cook our favourite meals together. I would love to learn more about your culture, religion our life style. We could share a lot of experiences by listening to each other`s stories and of course we could share amazing moments by doing lots of activities together. I am really looking forward to spend time with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to tell you a lot about my family, my friends and a lot of my expereinces I got during my travels or my all-day life. As well I`d love to cook my favourite meal for you: Pasta with tomato sauce with vegetables and mint.
