About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Start a new life in the Netherlands

ABOUT ME

Born in Moncalieri, next to Torino, in a palindrome day: 3-8-83 (Italian style, as 8 is for August, but as I'm Italian...).
Maybe it's because of symmetry in my birth day, maybe it is not, but I grow up with a love for mathematics, physics, and technology in general.
Always interested in a bit of everything, always in search of knowledge, I love to learn, in every possible field. Of course, apart from that, I've my special passions.

Apart from science, there are a few special things I love to do.
Athletics, for example: I run since I was 22, which is quite late if you want, but ever since, I've never stopped. Track & Field, 10km, up to half marathons... Running makes me feel well, healthy and happy.
Then, cooking. Yes, I love to cook for my friends, for my family, and even just for myself. Of course I'm Italian, so what's better than pasta and pizza?
Reading... Oh how much I like reading! And since I got my new ebook reader, I can do it a bit everywhere... on the bus while on the way to or from work, in bed before sleeping, on my couch... on the beach... well, really, everywhere!

Last, but not least, I love photography. Trying to improve day by day, and hoping to become a amateur photographer known for producing nice photos, I'm still at a very beginner stage.

Oh, and... I was almost forgetting: I love Pink Floyd!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is meant to be lived. It might sound obvious, but it doesn't look like for many people today. I want to know. Learn. Travelling, meeting new people, getting informed. Knowing I can't know anything doesn't mean I can't try, right?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want you to be my friend. Yes, you! I've a lot to learn, and I hope a lot to give. I meet people, I host people, I invite people, I love people!!! I can help you knowing the world as much as you can help me knowing the world. In the end, it's just a matter of existing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosting people travelling around Europe, and willing to stop in my wonderful city; pretty soon I will also ask for a couch during one of my next trips!

Interests

I love a bit of everything, and especially sport (I am a runner), science, technology, travels, photography... but then otherwise I love to talk about anything: it's always a way to learn new things, and overall to know new people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love progressive rock as well as electronic music, and expecially trance music. Everything giving emotion, and which is not too commercial, anyway, catches my attention.
I love science fiction movies and books, as well as adventure novels, with an eye on big classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up at 4 in NYC, to see the rising sun illuminate the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline.
Seeing the sun rising behind Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) in South Korea.
Seeing the night rising in the Sahara Desert.
Climbing the Tongariro Crossing at 2am, to see the Milky Way and the sunrise from the top.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love my city, and I'll try to teach you all that I know about it. And you will teach me about yourself, your country, your experiences around the world. I'm a dreamer, and I will share myself as a whole, for those willing me to do it. We're all there to learn something new everyday!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will tell you about my trips, about my passions, I will most probably cook something for you, and I will bring you around the city if we have the time to.
Oh, and don't forget something: I will share my positiveness and my friendship, which I think are the most important things!
