About Me
Both my parents are French, though I was born and grew up in Spain.
Soccer (futbol) is my favorite sport, and I have been learning to do stand-up paddling (water and beaches are cool). Hiking is fun; I challenge myself with difficult trails.
People say that I am polite, well mannered, and courteous. I smile a lot and am friendly to most everyone. I live by the golden rule. Because of my age, I am not a party animal (I don’t go out late).

At the moment, I'm in the USA on a six month visa. For the first four months, I was an au pair in Austin with a family and two kids. Now, I am traveling across the country for the final month and a half to see the rest of America and to make new friends.
I decided to tour the country by Amtrak (train). The scenery is better than the bus, and it’s comfortable. Plus, I get to see views and vistas not seen by car. Did you know that Amtrak trains have a glass rail car that allows you to see the panorama? Ask me about it.
Some guys have sent suggestive messages. Please understand that I am not on Couchsurfing for romance. When it comes to meeting new people and hosts, I am open-minded and comfortable with all kind of people. Sorry guys, I am straight. We can be friends. 🙏
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Talking with others helps me learn English. I would also like a better understanding of American culture (most of what I know is from American movies and TV).
The education system in the USA is quite different too. Americans believe they can be whatever they want when they grow up. From what I see, Americans take risks and show initiative. This attitude interests me, what you call “The American Dream.”
I have learned a lot about myself during these travels. I’m becoming more relaxed and confident, which I guess is natural. Being far from home and traveling alone, I’m always grateful to see a welcoming face. That’s why I prefer to stay with hosts—to be with people who are warm, friendly, and respectful. Thank you in advance for your hospitality.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music is old school: Joe Jackson, Bob Marley, and the Rolling Stones, etc. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are favorites too.
I grew up on American War films. I also like a lot of historical movies. (If you have sightseeing suggestions for local history, please let me know.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving home and traveling alone for six months—this trip—is the most adventurous thing I have done so far. Roaming around and meeting new people is interesting. I’m discovering that many Americans are pretty impressive, kind, and generous.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to curse in French or Spanish. 😜
I hope to learn about you, your area, and it's culture and history.
Maybe share some stupid laughs.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Do you like crêpes? I can make savory or dessert crepes. I also like to bake, depending upon the time and kitchen equipment available. One of my favorite things to make is pizza (with fresh dough that I make).
Additionally, I cook pasta, chicken, or fish dishes. My style is pretty simple and at times Asian-inspired (more creative than authentic).
I like good conversation, and hope your ear will like my accent. 🇫🇷 😎 🇪🇸
Thanks for reading and I hope you will host me.
