i’m Lucas, but everyone just calls me Lessa, feel free to do the same. i’m from brazil, born and raised, and i moved out at 18 to study Law. these days i’m a Lawyer and currently doing my master’s in law, researching public policy at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. my research focuses on how different cultures can shape and influence public policies, so meeting people from around the world kind of feels like an extension of my studies (and honestly, something i just really enjoy).

i’m on bewelcome because i want to have real experiences with people from other cultures, nothing beats staying in someone’s home to really understand what life is like in another country.

i’m a fun, outgoing, and easygoing person. i love going out, having some drinks, exploring new places, and trying different foods. music is a big part of my life, i do pretty much everything while listening to Charli XCX, Slayyyter, Gaga, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Beyoncé, Rosalía, SZA, and many others.

and since i’m from Brazil, i’ve got to mention the funk! it’s a huge part of our culture, and i love introducing people to it, who knows, maybe i’ll get you into it too.

in the end, my goal is simple, to bring a little bit of brazil, our language, and our culture wherever i go. if we get to share good talks, laughs, and experiences, i’ll head back home feeling grateful and happy.
