ABOUT ME

I'm French, living in Shanghai since 2013. I enjoy my time there and felt in love with Asia! Now I'm willing to get the most of what Shanghai will give me, and to travel around Asian continent.

It is hard to describe oneself in a few lines on a website, so you'll make your own opinion about me if we meet.

PHILOSOPHY

If you cannot do anything about something, then don't worry about that thing. Anyway, you will have much more real things to concern about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to couch surf within my own network before discovering this website. After that, I swear to myself I will never be alone in a boring hotel again, and since if I travel I use CS.

Interests

Of course, travelling. I've been living and working in China for more than a year now and haven't finish to discover it though! I love to discover different cultures, exchange, give and receive. Never met a traveller so boring he had nothing to teach me.
Besides, I really enjoy walking and hiking, and believe that the best way to learn to know a place and its people is to walk within.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books authors: Pratchett, C. Clarke, Damasio, Moorcock, Farland, K. Dick, Barjavel, Bradbury, Herbert, Lovecraft, Palahniuk, Pullman, Simmons, Tolkien to quickly list the first names coming to my mind and thus I guess the ones who makes me dream the most.
Flowers for Algernon. Couldn't do without mentionning it.

Movies: Fight Club, Irréversible, Léon, Usual Suspects, American History X, Alien, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Shining, Pan's Labyrinth, The Big Lebowsky, and many more...
Generally speaking I love what are doing Darren Aronofsky, the Monty Python, Michel Hazanavicius, and as actor/actress my favorites are Edward Norton, Kevin Spacey, Natalie Portman.
And, I laugh a lot while watching Hot Shots 1 & 2.

TV Shows: Game of Thrones, Firefly, South Park.

Music (artists I listened the most recently): Morcheeba, Clare & the Reasons, Noir Désir, Shivaree, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Pierre Perret, Björk, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Eiffel... Well that can already give an idea. Hope you're not allergic to French artists ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With friends we have been hiking for one week in Montenegro (you can check on the map, no one will blame you ^^). It was winter, some hotel didn't have electricity, but still... This is one of the most welcoming country I've seen. And the landscapes are... simple, but still mind-blowing.

That moment I left France to go to live in China, without any relationhip there...
Wearing kimono in Kyoto was one of the sweetest walk ever.
