My passion for travel must date back to my very early teens. I was always eager to see the whole world, make friends from as many countries as possible, get to chat to all different nationalities, see how people from different places think, what they like to do, eat, listen to.
At the age of 19 I moved to Australia. Since then I have visited a good amount of countries but my bucket list only seems to be growing! I visit a couple of countries a year and add about 5 others to my bucket list...
Having studied a few different languages, my current journey has been learning Mandarin. Over 4 years I have had the very hard challenge of learning this language... but finally getting to a point to hold some conversation in the language.
I also love travel photography and take my camera where I go. I love places full of character, where you can explore the back alleys like the locals do, spend an hour doing the touristy thing and then throw away the guide book and get lost in the streets, restaurants and bars where locals go. Have a chat to random locals, admire the architecture, the smells, the sounds, the beautiful and the ugly, the complete picture that makes this foreign an extremely exciting place.. travel is simply an obsession, and I don't think it's going away.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My love for travel means sometimes I may need to travel solo. Having locals to catch up from day one is a huge plus.
