Overview
About Me
I have seen some things and would like to see more things! I grew up traveling and living in two countries, and now I'm braving it on my own. I'm openminded, curious and always looking for the next adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My next plane ticket is always on my mind. I'm traveling around the world, and like to turn any stopovers into experiences. Couchsurfing has saved my butt a few times already, and more importantly, inspired me to be a host myself when I settle down. There are few things as rewarding and stimulating as talking to people from different countries, different cultures. Everyone has a story and I'd like to hear yours.
Interests
I'm outdoorsy and indoorsy. Kayaking, biking, hiking and general exploring are great, and I'm also a TV/Music/Movie nerd. I like to keep up with contemporary issues in society, science and culture. Aside from finding new music and movies, I also play the guitar/sing and am developing an interest in video editing and photography. Plus I'm a big sucker for good food, and (circumstances permitting) I cook a killer enchilada.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is mostly alternative/indie (DCFC, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys etc.) and some hip hop (Chance the Rapper stands out). More niche: movie soundtracks.
Too many movies but right now Into the Wild resonates with me a lot.
I'm a big John Irving fan.

Teach, Learn, Share
Still learning so I can teach more one day. What I can share with you is where to get the best Taiwanese food in Melbourne, or how to cook the sweetest oven-baked pancakes. And I'll teach you a few chords on the guitar.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good time hopefully! When hosting friends from overseas, I've always found that I get to know my hometown a lot better when I show them the surroundings and must-sees. I experience it differently than when I'm just living there passively. I hope any host would feel the same when they tell me about life in their area.
