My name is Lucas. I was born in Vancouver Canada but have spent a good deal of my life away from home. Whether it be for adventure, studies, or fun, taking to the road has always held more appeal than staying at home.

Through my travels I have come to love exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. I love finding great food, music, mountains, and friends in all the unlikely places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently on a break from academia and for the meanwhile traveling. I'll be hanging around Europe this winter and then heading to India and Nepal. Eventually I'll return to my real life in Vancouver, but not quite yet. I hope to coach surf along the way because meeting locals and sharing the experience is the best part of traveling.

Biology, neuroscience, skiing, climbing, surfing, exploring wild places, photography, food!, my cats, hanging around in hammocks, arguing about great wizard (Gandalf the grey or white?), pretending to be a ninja while sneaking through doorways just after someone, finding new music, shadow puppets.
