About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be a world citizen.

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going guy, who loves to travel and to get to know people from different places and with different points of view. I'm an undergraduate senior in International Relations in the University of Brasília, in the capital of my country. Currently I am doing an exchange program in Stockholm University, where I have been studying Economics.

Since I study International Relations you must have already figured out that I love learning foreign languages and learning about history, economics and politics. I am also a big fan of music!

Ever since I was a kid I loved to travel and getting to know people from different backgrounds. I have already participated in many volunteering and international organizations. One of the them is AIESEC, through which I have hosted already a couple of people and had some great international experiences.

Unfortunately, I don't have many references because I used my roommate profile, (Rodrigo Proenca) to talk and to host couchsurfers. But I have hosted more than 20 people back in my previous house, in Brasília. You can see his reference below, if you want :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to host people in Brasília and to get to know more couchsurfers - it is a great way to find awesome people and have fun. I am currently hosting, but I have never surfed before. I think this organization has a very revolutionizing philosophy, I hope I can contribute as much as I can to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I have told before, I don't have many references because I used my roommate profile, (Rodrigo Proenca) to talk and to host couchsurfers. But I have hosted more than 20 people back in my previous house, in Brasília.

Some of them are:
Hosted in Brasília:

Jourdan Velardi 6/2012- United States
Sofia Moutinho e Nuno Craveiro 6/2012- Portugal
Sanda Rakotomiamina 7/2012- Madagascar
Karen Valencia 7/2012- Peru
Lisa Andott 8/2012 - Germany

Interests

I love hanging out with my friends and have a great laugh with them. As I love new cultures I am an avid learner of foreign languages. I am currently studying Swedish here in Stockholm, hope I can speak it fluently one day.

I also speak Portuguese (my native language), Spanish, English, and Japanese! When I was 15 years old I decided to travel to Asia, and Japan was the first country I ever been to besides Brazil. I love Japanese culture and their language, and I have been studying it for a long time now. Hope I can travel to Japan some day again!

I aslo love listening to music - since I was a little child, I played the piano, and I though of maybe becoming a professional once. Although I gave up the ideia of becoming professional, I still love to play and listen to all kinds of music.

I am very fond of reading and watching movies as well. Since I study International Relations I love to discuss about politics, history, international relations and foreign languages so I love reading about those topics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, I think everything is good depending on the context. Nonetheless, I love classic rock, it would be unfair to choose my favorite band since I love so many.! I love reading too, and I am specially fond of Tolkien's work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exchange programme in Tokyo, Japan. I was just 15 back then but I was a really life-changing experience because as I lived some time by myself, I had to learn the local life and to but as open-minded as I could, it was just great!

I also have been living now in Stockholm for 3 months. It has been a lot of fun and the city is stunning!
