About Us: I'm Lucy and along with my Irish husband Donncha, we are traveling in a "slow" way focusing on meeting interesting people and cultural exchange.
We are both easygoing and enjoy good conversation and learning about different cultures., not through the official tour guide but through direct contact with engaging people. We both speak Spanish and English.
For the past decade, we have lived in a shared accommodation belonging to the company we worked for, and so now it is time to reconnect with the CS community.
We traveled extensively around South America in 2009 - 2011 and now we are revisiting old and new places starting in Argentina and Chile over the next year or two... and hopefully, we can share a short but memorable time together.

Acerca de nosotros nosotros: Soy Lucy y junto con mi marido irlandés Donncha, estamos viajando de una manera "lenta" centrándose en conocer gente interesante y en el intercambio cultural.
Ambos somos relajados y disfrutamos de una buena conversación y de aprender sobre diferentes culturas, no a través de la guía turística oficial, sino a través del contacto directo con gente interesante. Ambos hablamos español e inglés.
Durante los últimos diez años hemos vivido en un alojamiento compartido perteneciente a la empresa para la que trabajábamos, por lo que ahora ha llegado el momento de volver a conectarnos con la comunidad de CS.
Viajamos por un buen tiempo por Sudamérica entre el 2009 y 2011 y ahora estamos volviendo a visitar viejos y nuevos lugares comenzando por Argentina y Chile durante el próximo año o dos... y ojalá podamos compartir un corto pero memorable tiempo juntos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While Iguazú Falls, Torres del Paine, and Machu Picchu must be visited, what most travelers remember fondly are the people and shared experiences they have together along the journey. And that's why we would like to meet you - a local person with local knowledge and a love of sharing aspects of this wonderful thing we call the journey of life!
We will also document our travels on social media with a focus on the people we meet - in particular through learning about local recipes, sharing food, and conversation. And hopefully, you can suggest where to find great local food and where the interesting places to visit are.
And of course, we can share our experiences and tips with you from our travels in Europe and South America if you feel like traveling.
On a side note, the first couchsurfer we hosted was actually in 2008, but when I reset my account from hotmail to gmail in 2014 the old account was not transferred over. So our reviews from that period have gone :-(
But not to worry, we are still the excellent hosts and guests that we were, just now with even more fun experiences to share :-)

Aunque las cataratas de Iguazú, las Torres del Paine y Machu Picchu son lugares que hay que visitar, lo que la mayoría de los viajeros recuerdan con cariño son las personas y las experiencias compartidas a lo largo del viaje. Y es por eso que nos gustaría conocerte - ¡una persona de la zona con conocimiento de ella y las ganas por compartir aspectos de esta cosa maravillosa que llamamos el viaje de la vida!
También vamos a documentar nuestros viajes en las redes sociales, centrándonos en las personas que conozcamos, en particular a través del aprendizaje de recetas locales, intercambiando comidas y la conversación. Y ojalá nos puedas sugerir dónde encontrar buena comida de la zona y dónde están los lugares interesantes para visitar.
Y, por supuesto, podemos compartir contigo nuestras experiencias y consejos de nuestros viajes por Europa y Sudamérica si te gusta viajar.
Por cierto, el primer couchsurfer que alojamos fue en realidad en 2008, pero cuando cambié mi cuenta de hotmail a gmail en 2014 la antigua cuenta no se transfirió. Así que las reseñas y comentarios de ese tiempo ya no están :-(
Pero no hay que preocuparse, seguimos siendo excelentes anfitriones y huéspedes que éramos, sólo que ahora con experiencias aún más divertidas para compartir :-)
