About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to Enjoy Winter

ABOUT ME

I have lived in the midwest all my life, but traveling fuels my soul. I love to meet new people and to experience new things. While I have a typical 9-5 job here in Madison, I do have the flexibility to travel and I definitely take advantage of my vacation days:)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a journey, not a destination.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very little really, but I am looking to change that. I co-hosted a few surfers when I lived with my friend Dan, but I've never officially hosted or surfed. I do enjoy participating in the community events and hope to host some of my own someday.

Interests

I love doing almost anything active outside, running, biking, hiking, canoeing, skiing, X-country skiing, backpacking, live music, learning about other cultures, and of course food!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Iguazu Falls at sunrise:)

Recently, hiked from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon down to the Colorado River and back up. One of the most strenuous and beautiful hikes I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a fair amount about water quality and water treatment, which may sound boring but could be handy if stuck in an emergency wilderness situation or a zombie apocalypse...

Other random skills: hula-hooping, baking, playing the violin, sewing, rock climbing
