Hi, I am Lucy - the newbie in here. I am easy going, talkative.
I have been living in Scotland for 2 years. I came to UK nearly 3 years ago and started as a volunteer for organisation HELPX. As a helper I worked an average of 4 hours per day and received free accommodation and meals for my efforts. Jobs are usually very easy and you also learn how to do things useful for life. I met so many nice people and all of them told me something about British culture and habits.
As a volunteer I lived in south England (Hastings, Bexhill on Sea, Brighton) and then continued slowly up to Scotland. On the way up I stopped for couple of weeks to explore lovely regions (Wales, Lake District). If you ever have a chance go and visit Wales. That is my most favourite place in the world so far-quiet and peaceful place with lovely mountains, plenty of lakes and also very close to the sea. I love the sea and all the sources of water.
I ended up in Edinburgh, found a job and trying to save some money for next adventure. I know it sounds a little bit like stereotype but I have got a dog so life is not so boring. In spare time going for long walks, exploring around and I trying to escape to the nature as much as I can.
