Hi!
We are Céline (the taller one) and Lucie (with glasses 🤓), 31 and 29 years-old, a French couple from Lyon. We quit our jobs (we both are psychologists) to try to find and discover another way of life, away from economical system (based on capitalism and consumerism), so we decided to make a 6 months road-trip in Italy, with no itinerary. For that, we chose to travel differently : Woofing, Workaway, Couchsurfing etc. to make sure to meet opened-mind people, learn from locals, discover other cultures, sharing hobbies/stories/time!

We are serious, respectful, opened-mind and sociable people. We spend most of our time laughing, talking and eating (mainly italian food even in France). We really are fascinated by ancient civilizations (Roman and Greek) and that’s the reason why we chose to travel in Italy with her rich cultural legacy.
Lucie : I love playing board games or card games for hours, singing (under the shower but also for karaoke nights!) and make others laugh (at least, I try to..).
Celine : I am an animal lover, I really love gastronomy (cooking and eating) and I’ll be glad to share some recipes or cook something for/with you! I don’t really speak English but I try my best, and I speak a little Italian.

We already registered on CS years ago because we planned to travel in India with this same goal, but unfortunately we missed our flight and never been there (yes, punctuality isn’t our main quality..). We never tried again until now, we are more than ever ready to travel differently but as new CS user, we know that not having feedback yet could cost us some opportunities, but we’re just waiting for someone who wants to give us a chance to share something (even just a drink in a bar!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We already know Italy, we often spent holidays in the country : visit, discover restaurants, contemplate landscapes and cultural places, museum but we didn’t really share something with locals around us or learn more about the way they see the city, what do they like or hate about it, where do they go on holiday etc.
Travelling in the same place is also a good reason to meet other travelers !!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lucie : One night, in Bergen, Norway, with a friend we were having a drink in a bar. And we met a Norwegian who, after few drinks, suggests to show us around. During hours, we walked through the city, he was telling his story of Bergen, history facts, memories and we talk for hours as if we knew each other for a long time. We spent the day after together and I remember how happy he seemed to show us how he lived, his house, where he worked.. I felt so grateful!! It was one of the best night of my life!

Celine : I made a trip in a small Maroccan town (Azrou) in a friend’s family. We crossed the country (6 persons in a 5 persons car haha) to sleep in the desert. The sunrise was amazing!! Since this trip, Mediterranean food became my passion!
