So my name is Lucie, I study the English language.
My hobby is to travel, experience culture shock, talk in foreign languages and exchange.
My first big trip was when I was 12, I went to Canada for 2months, I was in a host family and went to school. As soon as I came back I told my mom "I wanna do it again but further and for a longer time!" As I turned 16 I left for a year in Australia, again in a host family, going to school there as any teenager.
Since then all I can think of is leaving again!

Beside that I am not a sports person but I enjoy games, I like to party, I hate to be alone (love my friends and family) and I am very talkative!

Sacha :
Hi ! I'm Sacha. I'm 22 years old and I'm from France. I'm studying cabinet making and I will finish my lisence just before I leave France to come to Iceland. I love to travel a lot, I went to many countries like Germany, India, Norway and many more.
My hobbies are cinema, video games, basketball, partying, computer, and I love to listen and play music.
I love to see beautifull naturals areas and that's why I'm looking forward to come to Iceland and visit as much as I can this beautifull country.
I'm sociable and I will be very happy to learn icelandic tradition and life style.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I subscribed on Couchsurfing because I got acepted to the university of Iceland, I am a French Exchange student (Erasmus program) coming with my boyfriend Sacha.
We are loking for a place to stay to be able to find our own place once there.

We are very excited to come and love to share different cultures and to chat!
We would really love to meet locals in order to integrate, we don't only want to discover Iceland, we want to live there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sacha :
I went to Norway with my best friend and another friend and it was the best travel I've ever made. We lived in the middle of nature near a lake and some mountains with magnificient panoramas. Campfire, fishing, and we've finished our travel in the city of Trondheim. I hope Iceland is gonna be as amazing as Norway.

Lucie :
I really enjoyed all the trips I've done so far but a few experiences are engraved in my mind such as when I went in a frozen lake up to my neck in Finland, when I got tattooed in the backyard of my best friend in Australia or the nights spent in Spain.

But the "bad" memories are also the ones you never forget, as when I almost missed my flight in Spain because I was partying 3 hours before, or when my plane to come back from Australia was overbooked so they had to put me on another flight and when I arrived in China (stopover) they thought I was a terrorist because I didn't have the right papers (as I wasn't supposed to make a stop there) and I almost missed my flight in Shanghaï without any money, sweating because of all the clothes I had on (since my suitcase was too heavy, I had to put all my clothes on (dresses, shirts, shorts, pants, coat...))
So all that was very stressful but I now have great stories to tell!

I would say that travel is the best way to learn from others and from yourself!
Be open minded and exchange as much as you can with others!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lucie and Sacha : We would love to discover the Icelandic culture and its language, we also would love to bring a little bit of France into the hosts' place and we do love to eat and hope to discover new meals!
