HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I am based on Madrid i can host couchsurfers. But i am moving lately and my current home situation unfortunately doesn't allow me to be a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have unofficially hosted couchsurfers, recommended by friends' friends and such. but most of all i've surfed, and theyve all been great experiences!
for me, it is the ultimate proof that human goodwill overpowers the rusty mechanisms and tourist traps. it is so sad to arrive to a new place and stay by yourself in a hostel, getting to know only what's on the free guide... by using couchsurfing, we get to meet these fantastic people of the world, to have a conversation and a couch and a proper human connection to the place.
and often, when you hit the road again it is not the town you visited that you'll remember the most fondly, but the way you were there, and the things you were told and shared. the organizing couchsurfing network is the best thing that's happened to travelling lately.
