About Me

I expect places and people to nourish my enthusiasm and my will of doing, of keeping on travelling, keeping on learning, exchanging. And I hope and pursue I can awake the same in others.

I feel myself when dancing. When drawing. When writing. While reading. While enjoying photography. If I´m close to theatre. While watching films.
When listening to music. I´m Luli if I´m listening to the Beatles´s and immediately after I´m delighting myself with the Roots of the Chicha and its great Latin-american cumbias.
If I have "Persépolis" and "“Bordados", Marjane Satrapi's comics, on my shelves.
I´m Luli if exchanging view-points and opinions in a respectful way. And enjoying interesting and pleasant discussions and conversations.
When cooking and enjoying eating. And specially if I´m eating fruit.
I´m Luli if I´m having fun. If I'm making new friends, and visiting the old ones.
If I´m optimistic and energetic, but also calmed and respectful of one's and other's silence.
I love to be taught new things, to be surprised by other's minds, to feel curious about others' worlds and lives. I'm eaguer to be affected, and modified if necessary, by others' experiences, learnings, knowledge.
I'm a militant of the easy going relationships, of things that just go smoothly.
I don´t smoke.
I love animals, I love nature, and I freak out with the astonishing and beautiful world of science.
I'm an illustrator who writes and is always willing to dance.
I am Lucila Adano when I´m at work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It´s a really useful and enjoyable way of travelling abroad. Much more enrichening than any other I feel. I had great experiences, and I deffinetely proved it´s the best way of getting to know a place, it´s people, and the best alternative in terms of accommodation. It´s simply much nicer, because we are all here because we enjoy this.

Interests

Art and nature in all its forms.
I used to work as a cultural assistant for a program of a foreign University settled in Buenos Aires, and I now work as a manager of a female band of Buenos Aires, called Fuleras (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5grhRosIVVw). I also get involved in cultural promotion in independent spaces.
So, I´m constantly dealing with these stuff (specially in the off-circuit), and I love being part of it and sharing it with anyone visiting my place and being interested in it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Plenty! I love chatting about these topics, recommending and being recommended.
Books: Persépolis, Bordados, Salón de Belleza, Seda, Cien años de Soledad, Yerma, El último encuentro, La Mujer Rota, A moveable Feast, El Amante, Lord of the Flies... and so on.
Films: Where the Wild Things Are, 2046, Brazil, Harold adn Maude, Profundo Carmesí, Reines d'un jour, Blush...impossible to list them all.
Music: I'm a passionate sender of music links, and in that sense I find youtube one of the most fabulous inventions of humankind. First cheese, then youtube.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trips so far had been incredible. And equally had been the people I met while being abroad and when being at home but welcoming and meeting travellers, thanks to my willingness of getting in contact with other geographies, other languages and other stories, which, for me, is the best way of living: with the awareness that being settled in one place for long may not necessarily mean to be stucked only there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love offering others the possibility of approaching my culture through what I find the most worthy, interesting and enjoyable manifestations, places and spheres (and the other way around). I`m fan of cultural recommendations.
