I am a 23 year old student of African Studies living in Leipzig, eastern Germany.
I fell in love with Leipzig as soon as I moved there. Leipzig is not as cosy as other German cities - no medieval city center or whatsoever - but has its very own unique atmosphere. It is what I call an honest city. Some buildings are new and seem to show off how much money the investors payed for it, others have not been inhabited for decades but still look like they are greeting you anyway.
There are lots of things to do in Leipzig, concerts, poetry slams, exhibitions, bars, cafés, parks....And I never get tired of exploring them.

I enjoy traveling without the touristic masquerade. So staying in people's homes and having them teach me some bits and pieces of their language/ culture/ favorite recipes is a pleasure for me.

兴趣

Apart from roaming my hometown I always enjoy drinking a cup tea, reading a book and having a chat with people I do or do not know.
Of course my decision to study African Studies, a nice combination of ethnology, culture studies, sociology and also religious and different language studies, all with a focus on subsaharan countries, indicates my interest in the African continent.

I am currently raising one little lemon and one orange tree. Once I woke up in the middle of the night, knowing something was terribly wrong.
- actually, the sound of one of my beloved trees dropping a leaf had woken me.
I am definitely a very proud plant momma...

教，学，和分享

As I have lived in Gambia for a while and as many people have not heard of this little West African country, I am always happy to share what I have learned and understood during my time there!
I also enjoy story telling and like to share or exchange stories with other people. Telling stories in a vivid, relatable way is like reading to somebody but acting it out at the same time...
Recently I started to practice juggling and I would love to share what I know by now or learn the tricks that you might know.
