Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not really participated YET. The CS community and concept is pretty amazing. I'm happy to be part of it and excited to get into it whenever and wherever I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have one to share at this point. If the friend who introduced me to CSing is any indication of the people and personalities involved in the community, I know there will be experiences as varied, amazing, and inspiring as the countries in which I'll have them!

Interests

Am interested and know at least a little: travel, film, training horses, dressage, acim, red wine, mediation, people, aviation, trekking, non violent communication, Spanish (a little), vegetarianism, change,

Am just really interested and want to do or learn about: photography, art, scuba, music, film, writing, elephants, performing, languages, Spanish, cooking, Sevillanas and other dancing, sustainable agriculture, writing,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ran with an angry mob in Capetown- guns shooting, people screaming- until someone ran from their home and grabbed me and took me inside to lie on their kitchen floor until it all passed. Communed with Tibetan refugees while healing an injured knee for two weeks in the Himalayas. Befriended an elephant caretaker in Nepal and learned to ride "Lakshmi" beginning with her lifting me with her trunk, onto her head. Went on a first date to a co-ed naked sauna in Bratislava. Drifted down the Amazon in a dug out canoe in the middle of the night with my sister and our new friend Eddie Ladrone. Played my violin in the rain forest in Puerto Rico, age 8 and the beginning of my wonderlust.
