The most important thing I know is Effective Altruism – a growing movement of marvelous people sharing the desire to make the world as good a place as it can be, drawing on science and reason to find out how to do so, and daring to actually try.

This benefits myself too: Science found, helping others makes the giver happy. Neat! :D
