ABOUT ME

I'm a very easy-going and flexible person. This is important in all of life's experiences, especially CouchSurfing!

I love meeting new people and enjoying new things, food, music, etc. I travel as much as I can, even if not a far distance.

I spent 3 years teaching youth art classes at the Riverside Art Museum. I now teach high school photography.

My husband, Mike, and I live, love, eat, photograph and travel together.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the summer of 2010 I went on a cross-country road trip from CA to NY with 4 other girls. We couch surfed along the way and had a blast! I'd love to utilize this way of traveling and seeing the world more in the future.

I want to get more involved hosting, but the city I live in doesn't attract many tourists or travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friends in Los Angeles have hosted before and the people have been really cool, fun and easygoing.

In August 2010, I couch surfed all across the U.S. with 4 friends and met wonderful, lifelong friends along the way.

My hosting in Riverside thus far has been great. 1 Australian, 2 Belgians, a student from Davis, and a ska kid from the beach. Never a negative moment.

I love photography, music, food, movies, the beach, themed parties, photobooths, being barefoot, cats... I want to spend my time traveling as much as possible, all over the world. I majored in anthropology. I love different cultures, people, food, art, and experiences.

I work as a high school photography teacher which takes up a lot of my time!

I love to cook, have people cook for me, try new food, and eat out. I have a food blog that documents all of these food-ventures:

My list of musical interests is endless. I like just about everything. Some of my favorite bands are: Modest Mouse, Radiohead, The Beatles, Beach House, Best Coast, Weezer, Phantogram,The Growlers....the list goes on. My husband is in a ska/reggae band, so that's a frequent part of life!

Favorite movies: Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, When Harry Met Sally, National Lampoons Vacation movies.... I have a growing movie collection. I love all genres and spend a lot of time on Netflix and at the movies.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've been to EVERY state and all the Disneylands in the world except for Hong Kong. I went on a lot of road trips with my family as a kid and we made sure to stop in every state along the way. I finished this in 2008 when I went to Alaska. Since that goal has been completed, my next goal is to visit every Disney park in the world. I've already been to Disneyland (Anaheim), Disney World (Orlando), Euro Disney (France), and Tokyo Disney (Japan)... all I have left is Hong Kong and the new one being built in Shanghai!
