CURRENT MISSION

Eat new food, See new sights, Meet new people and have a great time doing it.
My current trip started in October 2018, trekking the Annapurna circuit in the incredible Nepali Himalayas, and having just spent the last 6 months in India it is now time to venture to New Zealand - I've never been and am SO EXCITED to experience the beautiful kiwi way of life :)

ABOUT ME

I booked a one way ticket to South America in November 2012 with very little money in my pocket, zero espanol and nobody on the continent I knew and it turned out to be the best decision I've ever made!
I managed to stretch the funds (or lack of) 6 months before I had to fly home. But like so many before me (as cliche as I sound)- I got the 'travel bug'!... and Alas it's now 2019 and I'm still at it!

From 2014 -2017 I spent over 2 years travelling in South East Asia, working with small community development projects along the way in Nepal, Myanmar, Cambodia and Malaysia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time trying out couch surfing, and if people are unavailable to host me, I'd still love to meet for a coffee or a drink at some point!

Interests

. My interests are fairly broad. I love music- primarily jazz- but I'll listen to almost anything. I love sea-swimming, mountain trekking and practicing yoga. Most of all - I love meeting new people :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently reading The Art of Loving by Erich Fromm, but last week it was Dickens and next week it could well be back to good ole LOTR!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've trekked in the Himalays, volunteered in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, backpacked across Europe and ridden on bus roofs in Nepal.
But without a doubt, it's the people that I have met along the way that has made my adventures as wondrous as they have been!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to exchange travel stories, life experience, and good chat with those I meet along the way. If you are interested together we can share time, food and our journeys :)

I'm an English teacher, psychology student and former tennis coach - so if you're interested in learning any of these I'd be more than happy to share whatever knowledge I can.
