ABOUT ME

Well, hello! I am an explorer who has made it to 70+ countries already.

I am open to all things new and will often say "yes" to things I've never tried before, and that often means looking for cooking classes and dance classes when I arrive in a new place, and also learning basic words in local languages. Some of my greatest hits include "hello" in Malayalam, "good morning" in Albanian and "how are you?" in Mongolian.

There's nothing better than experiencing new places through the eyes of the people who actually live there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first CS experience I had was waaay back in 2005!.. when the site was still a well-kept secret. Wow, how things have changed!

Since then I've surfed/met up with people in France, China, Cambodia and Argentina and many more! I even ended up in New York's annual Mermaid Parade totally unplanned thanks to Couchsurfing.

Intereses

I love exploring places and taking photos. The two main reasons why I travel are local people and local food. I've also recently really gotten into yoga as a way to have a deep connection with my body.
